Luna Sea
Luna Sea was born from two bands.In one hand we have Lunacy (J and Inoran) and formed in 1986, and Pinocchino (Sugizo and Shinya), both bands lived on Kanagawa.
Ryuichi comes from another band named Slaughter. In an event in which various bands gather, Lunacy and Slaughter were surprised by Ryuichi's live on the stage.Everyone was facing their high school graduation and the problem of loosing any of the members.Due to this, Shinya thought about merging both bands in one.
Ryuichi was impressed by Lunacy's actuation and feels determined to join them.
So there we have Ryuichi in vocals, Sugizo and Inoran with guitars, J with bass and Shinya as a drummer.
After they graduated, they went to Tokio and started living as LUNA SEA (1990).Their musical career was full of good works and fame, but on 2000 Luna Sea announces that they will disband at the end of the year.
The reason why they disbanded was as Sugizo officially said:
"We have grown up, and now we are focused on different things and we can't shine as much as we would like together"
